About the event
Byrd’s Books celebrates poetry with three opportunities to hear poets read their own work. The dates are Friday March 15th at 7:00pm, Friday April 12th at 7:00pm and Sunday May 19th at 2:00pm.
Invited poets include: Bethel’s Poet Laureate Cortney Davis, Newtown’s Poet Laureate Lisa Schwartz, Norwalk’s Poet Laureate Laurel Peterson, poet-in-residence for the New England National Scenic Trail (NET) David K. Leff, Van Hartmann, Gail Carson Levine, Jerry Brooker, Jen Sage-Robison, Donna Marie Merritt, Phillip Lu, Jack Powers, Jonathan Anderson and others.
Each poet will read selections of their work with a round-robin of poetry at the very end. Light refreshments will be served and the poet’s books will be available for sale (when available).
